Monday Musings…
Don’t let these guys fool you! They are actually quite spoiled! They may look sad and pathetic, but it is only in response to our thwarting their access to crumbs while Drew and I were grilling and baking up a storm on Saturday. To ensure none of us ended up with injuries we decided it best to leave them out of the path between the kitchen and the grill.
On Food & Drink
- Banana Bites - yum! & easy!
- A Brief History of Popsicles (via Four Rooms)
- a yummy looking mango slaw - I’m gonna give it a try this week once I get the rest of the ingredients I forgot when we were at the store on Saturday without a list
- Raspberry Balsamic Crumb - I’m totally intrigued by this and thinking I’m going to have to try it once the raspberries are producing more than 3 berries at a time
- An adult beverage that uses some of the multitude of sage I have in the garden?!?! Hmmm…
- Granola Bars - this is a bit different from what I started with and I have some ideas to make it nut-free that I want to play around with sometime soon
On Knitting
- How can one go through life without knitting detailed death scenes? Okay, some that is a close enough view looks like crochet…
- A nice interview with the woman behind Mochimochi and the cute and sometime bizzare knitting patterns & leave a comment to win one of two copies of her new book!
- Download free Knitting Notes templates from Little Cotton Rabbits
On Photography
- Totally amazed by this fashion photoshoot done on an iPhone - makes me totally want proper lighting equipment (and the space to have it set up in)
- Top 50 Films for Photonuts
- Fast Way to Retouch Undereyes in Photoshop
- Digital Camera meets Rubberstamp!
Random Things I Liked or Made Me Think
- A story about showing gratitude, something I need to work on more!
- A Summer Bucketlist - I think this would be a good thing to do!!
- Face Your Pockets Project - what’s in your pockets or bag? put in on a scanner with your face! Really!
- Writer’s Cabin or Garden Room - I want one just like these!
- & Maybe have one of these Knot Chairs in it… (via Craft)
Oh, wait, wanting isn’t showing gratitude is it… Well, I said I needed to work on it!
I am very grateful for a mostly relaxing weekend — sharing the kitchen with Drew to create some great food and enjoying a wonderful meal with friends on both Friday and Saturday nights and a stay at home Sunday that included finishing a book, making some jam, soaking in the tub, cooking dinner with herbs from the garden and still getting my goal knitting completed!
