Collage is a fun and freeing art form that anyone can do! It can also be more economical than many other art forms by using only found papers and items and glue. If you are intimidated by collage, or not completely satisfied with your collages than this class is for you! During this six week course you will learn about the history of collage, the various types, materials you can use, the basic design elements and principles including some color theory, plus many tips on how to salvage collages you are not happy with. No prior experience in collage is necessary, just a willingness to get sticky and learn. The only materials necessary are your favorite adhesives, found papers and other items and something to glue your collages to.

Are you in love with the sepia tones and vintage ephemera and collage sheets but looking for exciting ways to use these in your art? If so, then this class is the class for you. In 6 weeks we will explore a variety of techniques for using copies or original vintage ephemera in collages. And, if you are comfortable with photo editing software you can also learn some fun ways to make pages with contemporary photos look like they?ve stood the test of time. You will be expected to complete 1-2 collages each week. Completion of Intro to Collage is strongly encouraged, though not required.
