In college I was a victim of date rape. This piece explores some of the emotional struggles I have dealt with since them. The background is a combination of acrylic and an acrylic transfer of some free writting about the experience. The gesso "shadow" of the woman is reversed to highlight the twisted thinking that often results at least for a while following a sexual assult.
