Rose Quartz 2-ply Merino Hand Spun Yarn

A sampling of Ashland Bay top spun into a 2-ply yarn.

Date: 2005-10-07
Fiber Source:
Ashland Bay top from Shuttles, Spindles, and Skeins in Boulder, I believe it is "Rose Quartz" but they do not label their fibers so I'm not positive.
Weight: .5 oz
Length: ~ 30 yds
Ply: 2-Ply
Set Method: Wet Set & Dried with Weight
WPI: ??
Gauge: ?? (sport ???)

Notes: In keeping with spinning tops, I opted to go for the smooth yarn and drafted it worsted style. I'm finally getting that down, though my left hand (front one that controls the twist) still cramps after a while. In looking at the top I thought I'd have a pinker yarn, but it turned almost violet. Or, at least the result is cooler in temperature than I was hoping for. But, seeing as how it is only 1/2 oz I can't complain.
