Targhee

Kristi very first spindle spun yarn, spun of rainbow colors Targhee.

A better look at the actual yarn as it was on a Niddy Noddy.

Date: 2005-07-13
Fiber Source:
Targhee Recieved in a Sampler by Snow
Weight: ???
Length: ~34yds
Ply: Singles
Set Method: Currently Unset
WPI: ??
Gauge: ?? (sport)

Notes: Targhee is really spongy. I liked working with it, though this particular batt was *very* neppy. I also found my spindle to perhaps be a little too heavy for it. I often broke the yarn and once broked would end up breaking it several times again before getting a solid join. However, I found my wheel spinning experience to make the drop spindling much easier as the drafting was now natural, despite my hands swapping jobs.

I think I might carry this along with another yarn as an accent in a hat or the cuffs of mittens or something.
