Also, I do that, too. I go through this big sock phase where everything’s on dinky little needles, or shawls with intricate patterns, and then I need to do some kind of felted something or a giant yarn-ed scarf or something, maybe to just get something done without investing eight bazillion years in it or something. I’m sure it’s something totally psychologically telling about me, but telling of what, i don’t know.

Speaking of shawls — I’m about to start on my mother in law shawl for the knitalong. I wasn’t real yippie about the yarn I got for it, so I had to get something different first. Thought about spinning it, and then realized that I was absolutely insane if I thought this was going to work as a plan, and still have her get it, oh, say, before we’re all about a decade older.
