My only question is….. is it super stinky??? I think I have an aversion to it. One day someone came in and bought some and I could smell it on my hands for HOURS!

We really did wash a lot of fleece in a short amount of time! :)

I go for the less scientific method, other more precise folks probably wouldn’t like my approach. The only advantage to using Era over dish soap is that the Era gets that Sheepy smell out completely. I use it to wash my finished skeins of handspun and dyed roving too!

OK, between your tutorial and fuzzy Galore, I feel like I could do this. Is there any problem caused by the amount of grease that comes from the yarn and goes down the drain? I suppose running hot water after keeps it liquid until its out of my pipes and becomes the water company’s problem.

I love your instructions on washing fleece. Especially the tip on using a sweater dryer and salad spinner for a drying fleece. Yes! Finally I don’t have to make a special trip and buy something else. My six lbs of Targhee does not look so intimidating now :D
