FO: Mom’s Bag Keeper
This has been done for weeks. It is a PITA to photograph. It’s long and somewhat boring but isn’t easily dressed with photostyling either so the photos of the full length are BORING. But I offer one if you are curious.
I think these were in craft fairs and such at least a decade or more ago. DH has had from his mom since well before he and I met. I used the dimensions of those as a guide, but I switched things up a bit. I added wider strips that I made from squares pieced together. While DH’s has some lace on it, his is kind of ruffled and this one is straight and nearly missed. I thought mom could feel the piecing and the lace.
While this project doesn’t produce very exciting photographs I think grandma is going to go through the roof when mom opens this. She’s going to go nuts over Amber’s skirt too. It’s going to be so much fun. Well, if we make it that is…
I’ve had some e-mails inquiring about the weather. It’s not good at all. Right now it isn’t too bad here in Ft. Collins, but they are talking the entire NE quarter of the state will be closed by sometime this afternoon. Flights are being cancelled in Denver, though they already have snow packed onto the interstate down there. Most of the schools to our east are closed for the day already too. One of the local news stations is speculating that if you are headed east for the holidays you won’t get out of here until Christmas Eve day. I guess the system is moving very slow. We’re to get snow through noon tomorrow. It looks like most of our route will be getting snow through Friday night and much of that will be snow on top of freezing rain. *sigh*
Well, I got a new pepperkakor recipe mixed up this morning. In just a few I need to take Emma to the groomers and I will go play water volleyball (water aerobics ended last week) while she’s getting cleaned and hopefully she’ll be done when I’m done. I’m debating whether I was to hedge my bets that I’ll be able to get my bad tires out of my street tomorrow afternoon for my hair cut or if I should just take my pics of what I want done to the walk-in place by Emma’s groomers just so my hair is cut and cancel tomorrow’s appointment. Oh, and I need to stop at the store and get some more flour so I can make my sugar cookies tomorrow.
