A Long Overdue Thanks!
Probably nearly ten days ago now there was a box dropped off at the house by our postal carrier. I knew there was a box coming from this particular person sometime, but I was not expecting there to be anything in the box for me. I thought I was just a go between to keep the contents a surprise from Snow. So, when I wrote to Chris and Chaos to let them know that the box had arrived she let me know there was stuff in there for me. However, that Monday following the arrival of the box a certain somebody FORGOT that it was Monday and didn’t make it to SnB. I didn’t want to spoil her surprise so I have been putting off posting my thanks to Chris.
Then this week has been crazy busy with appointments and such all over town. I’m sooo far behind on replying to the kind comments you have been leaving and even reading my blogroll. I’ve done a bit of spotty reading here and there this week, but not usually taking the time to comment. I hope to catch up on that a bit over the weekend.
Chris, my taking so long to post is no reflection on my reception of the goodies you sent. I adore them and have been enjoying my coffee in the gorgeous mug you sent. In fact, that photo in the masthead over at FikaCast? That’s this mug! :-) I’ve been alternating between my two new mugs since I suspect both will last longer if I don’t put them in the dishwasher so alternating between the two gives me a chance to catch up on the handwashing dishes without slowing down my morning coffee. The chocolate is almost gone (though in my defense DH has also been helping with it). I love a good dark chocolate as it has built-in moderation :-)
That CD case in the photo contained TWO mixed CDs entitled Fiber Foolish I & II. I am now officially naming Chris as the mixed CD making queen! My gut instinct is to say that she raided my CD collection, but that isn’t really true as there are very few of the tracks that I have, but the artists are a great mix of some I am interested in but haven’t bought due to lack of exposure to their music and some artists I’ve never heard off. The first CD starts off with some great Minnesota-centric music which was a blast and then she mixes in all kinds of other great artists as well, including some pod safe musicians! Both CDs have been on frequent rotation since their arrival. Thank you soooo much, Chris!
