I’m gonna call for a hiatus from here until probably Tuesday. I’m going in for a root canal on Monday morning (joy!) and the toothache is just wearing me out and dragging me down. I don’t have the energy to put towards a more exciting post right now. I’m not even motivated to play with the new camera and learn all of its bells and whistles so you know it has to be bad. I have still been keeping up with at least 15 minutes of spinning though!

I predict next week to be a foodie week so be forewarned. Sunday I’ll get to experience my first dim sum and tonight we’re having antipasto at our house with some friends. So don’t say I didn’t warn you! :-)

Oh, I hope the root canal goes okay. That’s not fun. And I was just thinking of you because I’m eating Wasabi Peas! Yummm.

I promise you’ll be just fine. Then you won’t hurt any more! I had one of those, where I hurt so bad, then got the root canal. What a relief it was!

Ugh, I’ve had two root canals — I got to watch “Beverly Hills Cop 3″ during one, though. I’m not sure if that was a treat or not. Get well soon!

Oh, dear. I hope this doesn’t mean you’ll be missing SnB on Monday. See how selfish I am?

Truly, I hope the hurting goes away. I’m going to hide from the world this weekend, as I have really, really foul PMS and am quite mean and evil, not suitable company for a living soul. Fun, hunh?

Advice for dim sum - eat all of the dumplings you can, skip the chicken’s feet and the rice balls. Try the mango pudding and almond jello for dessert. Mmmm….

Here’s to a quick recovery. I like the dumplings with red bean paste best.

Poor Kristi. I’m sorry about the pain, but root canals aren’t that bad, really. Kind of stupid and weird (I hate the little rubber shield), but not that bad. I will say it’s better than the tooth pain. Take your time and get better. We’ll wait.

good luck with the tooth. i had a root canal once and it actually wasn’t that bad. the only really bad part was keeping my mouth open for so long and the anticipation of the actual event. but i also actually like going to the dentist (most of the time), so i may be the wrong person to ask!
