Ribs and Lace Tank Done! (Pre Blocking)

I completed the knitting portion of the Ribs and Lace Tank last night. I grafted the straps this morning. I still have ends to weave in and then need to wash and block it. But, it fits! It fits well actually. I would prefer a bit more coverage in the back. I think I’ll need to get a low back bra to wear it without a shirt underneath it. But, I suspect it is much cooler to wear without a full back coverage.

Ribs and Lace Tank Pre-BlockingI used less than 4 skeins of Cotton Fleece for the second largest size. Just in case anyone was wondering. I have a good share left of the fourth skein, though definitely less than half. My scale ran out of battery juice and I haven’t procured a new one just yet, but I’ll have that info when I do the official FO post.

Now, is there a chance I could get at least one of the two skirts that go with it sewn this week? The single fabric one I should be able to whip up in a couple of hours; the two fabric one would still take less than a day so it is possible I think. Then I have to figure out where and how I want to photo style it…

I was just looking at that pattern this weekend and tryig to remember who I saw making it. I can’t wait to see how it looks on. It looks fab laid out there. I think I even have a bit of CottonFleece in the same color laying around.

I absolutely love it! The color is fabulous with your coloring too.

I can’t tell from the picture- are the 2 little V’s about 3-4 inches from the waistline darts or? Me not being past the basic, basic knitting thing I can only aspire to make stuff as gorgeous as yours someday!

Looks lovely! I really like the color. I sometimes sew a bit of nice bright fabrics to tops that have a too low back. That way you get bra-coverage without the warming effect of another shirt.

I looks lovely. What put me off the top was would the ribs portion look too much like boob-targets when it was on, but yours looks great.

It looks better on you than it does flat, even under last night’s impromptu, just-finished-it modeling conditions.

Love your ribs and lace tank! Did you do something different to the top? I am about to start making this but don’t want the bullseye boobies look…it looks like you managed to avoid that! Awesome!
