Creative Color
Instructor: Kristi Schueler
 | Learn all the characteristics of color so you can better describe colors and become more comfortable with the color wheel. Then dig in and explore many long used color schemes in the medium of your choice.
This class is for artists, artisans and crafters of all types. You should be experienced and comfortable in the medium you wish to work in for the duration of the class, be it scrapbooking, quilting, knitting, crocheting, collaging, altering books, art journaling, weaving, photographing or others. It is suggested that you have a full rainbow in a couple values, plus some neutral colors of whatever medium you wish to work with for the course. If you are a fiber artist, you'll want as large a variety of colors of compatible yarns or fabrics as you can, be sure to include both warm and cool colors, darks and lights, etc. If you will be using a mixable medium, such as acrylics or watercolor, be sure to have a cool and warm of each of the primary colors (red, yellow and blue), plus a white and black are recommended. Only one completed project will be required, the remaining assignments will call only for swatches or small color studies, so scraps of yarn, paper or fabric will likely suffice.
