In this course explore the world of stab bound books. Stab bound books are good for a multitude of uses from guest books to photo albums or even artist books. This type of binding is often wonderfully decorative. You will complete 6 stab bound books, some softcover and some hardcover. You will also learn about the mechanics of bookmaking, including finding the grain of paper and boards, the importance of waxing the thread and using spacers to allow room to add photos or other relatively flat objects to your books without causing the book to splay open.
