Ocean - Wash Away
Staci Quaethem's journal is in the colors of the ocean. While she did specifically say that did not mean we needed use ocean as the theme of our work it crept into this spread anyway. The page uses water-based markers, watercolors crayons and colored pencils. The words read, "As she stood on the shore, her toes firmly planted in the warm sand. She stared out to sea, reveling in wonderment at the chaos of the distant waves. She prayed for the cool water lapping at her ankles to wash away her rigidness."
