This unigue berry hat stands apart from other patterns available with it’s slighly loose leafy top. It is this element that makes it stunningly realistic. Well, as realistic as a berry the size of a child’s head is anyway.

You may also substitute purple or blue yarn and omit the seeds for fun eggplant and blue berry hats as well. It is an economical and quick hat to knit with bulky weight, easy care acrylic and worsted weight cotton yarns, perfect for children!

• Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
• Sizes: 14 (16, 18) inches finished circumference
• Yarn Requirements: 1 skein Lion Brand Jiffy (114), ~20 yds Green Worsted Weight (Lily’s Sugar and Cream 00016 shown), ~3 yds Black Worsted Weight (Lily’s Sugar and Cream 00002 shown)

This pattern requires the ability to knit in the round with DPNs, purl, decrease, increase, I-cord and make French knots.
