Spring?

Spring in Colorado

I’m afraid that due to weather FO Friday will have wait. It was windy and snowing on and off for most of the day so the photo shoot was unable to occur. I also wasn’t much in the mood to get all dolled up to take photos. In fact, I don’t think there would have been a single photo without red, puffy eyes. I hope you enjoy these photos in the meantime.

Thanks also to all of you who have left your condolences on our loss of Gizzy. It means the world to my sister and I! Fortunately it sounds as though my sister will get another cat, but she feels the right cat will find her when it is time. I’m kind of hoping it isn’t too long, as I think she feels her place rather empty and lonely right now and she is such an animal person. My heart is breaking two ways - for the loss of Gizmo, but also for the pain Amber is going through. Last night she said she can’t believe that her heart really, physically hurts. *sigh* I wish I could give her a hug and cry with her. Crying over the phone isn’t nearly as cathartic I don’t think…

I’m sorry about Gizzy. Our pets are so important and losing them is very painful. I hope your snow melts quickly!

Sorry for your loss. Children have a way of truly expressing their pain. The pics are beautiful.

Cats are singular individuals, all of them. I’m so terribly sorry about Gizzy. It breaks my heart to hear that someone else has lost their kitty far too soon.

I know after my Hobbes passed I still continued to see him in the corner of my eye regularly in all of his favorite places in the house for over 6 months. It always made me feel better when I would catch that fleeting glimpse of orange tabby. While I realise it was probably my subconscious supplying an expected sight for my brain, I prefer to think it was Hobbes reassuring me that it was ok and that he was still with us.

My soul ached when I lost Hobbes at 9 and my soul aches for Amber too.

I’m so sorry to hear of the crappy things that you found out about since our meet-up - the house burning down and Gizmo.
Thanks for taking me on the yarn crawl - it was fun! Nathan was impressed to see that your socks were on the cover of Spin Off. He now expects me to get something there…. 8-)
As for the weather it was very spring-like. We were so excited by the snow. LOL

Hi,

Sorry for you and your sisters loss and pain.

I just found your site. I am trying to buy 3 of your sock patterns but the basket is not working. I’m wondering how can I buy the sock patterns???

Thanks in advance

I’m so sorry about Gizzy. Losing a pet causes so much sorrow. I’m glad your sister has you to comfort her.
