Sick Day...

It seems I put the commission book to bed and came down sick. Well, actually I was sick while wrapping it up. I got ill on Thursday and am still trying to hack up a lung (or three - yes, I’m coughing that much). I’ve got a deadline fast approaching and was trying to work anyway. Can one design through osmosis? With a fever? No real progress has taken place just yet aside from being extremely wishy-washy about what I want to do.

Anyway, I’m afraid that since I’ve been down there is really no blog fodder at this point. The wheel has not been touched. Knitting needles have only been thought about. DH sewed on a button yesterday, but I’m afraid that is all the closer I’ve come to sewing. There has been some reading and I took some time to update my reading lists which were woefully behind (if you’re curious click the “Links” in the header and scroll down to 2007 Books Read).

This is killing me because there are so many things I *want* to be doing - I want to be Navajo Plying my singles from last week now that they’ve rested, I want to knit my design, I want to do some dyeing, I want to work on Sahara more, I want to frog that damn Lorna’s Laces sock…

Oh, I hope you feel better! I’ve been having sinus headaches for about a week, and sneezing galore. I feel you on only thinking about the needles and the wheel not getting touched.

I tried Navajo plying on a singles I didn’t really care anything about and I must say, I’m not in love with it. What is it you like about it?

Frogging the Lorna’s Laces sock? Did it pool?

Patience, kiddo. You need to get well before you can mess around with all your creative endeavors. Take a deep breath and heal.

There will be plenty of time when you start feeling physically better. Drink lots of green tea. I buy a tea that is made for colds and tends to make my colds last half the time, but I forgot the brand. The skeins look fabulous. I hope you get to all the things you’re looking forward to doing. Speedy health!

I hope you feel better soon. LittleMan has had quite the cough lately also. No medicine that I give him seems to be helping either.

Sometimes I wish I would get sick so I would have a reason to stay home from work, knit, take it easy, but then when I do get sick I remember how crappy it is and how I just want to be well again.

Hope you feel well soon!

I hope you were at least dreaming things into being, and that you are better by now.

I hope your feeling better soon Kristi. That is such a sweet picture of you snuggling your yarn. I hope it helps!

The book you made for the commission is beautiful! I’m sure it will be cherished!

Awww! I hope that you feel better soon! It looks like your so comfortable with your yarn-bear. Perhaps you should unload your stash on the couch and immerse yourself in yarn. :)
