A Beautiful Wedding…

Julie and Greg's Wedding Mosaic

It was a wonderful day for a wedding and the wedding was quite beautiful. It was held at a wedding and event garden center called The Secret Garden. It was just the right size and the setting was fantastic. A slightly larger selection of photos from the day (only about 1/8 of what I took in total) can be seen in the photo set at Flickr.

We came home to some bad news. It seems Emma was having seizures while at the kennel. We dropped her off mid-afternoon on Thursday and she had one Friday night, one Saturday morning and one Sunday morning. We picked her up on Sunday and took her to the vet. They had done a blood panel on her a month ago and everything was normal so they checked her electrolytes and they were also fine. So far she has had no more seizures so the vet said to just keep an eye on her for a while. If she doesn’t have any at home it was probably stress. It’s still frustrating though to not know what the problem is/was and how to fix it. Plus, we were looking at a two week get-a-way in early October, but I’m scared to even go to the grocery store so that I have something to eat for lunch today let alone be a 1000 miles away for two weeks!

Poor Emma! I hope the vet figures out what the problem was/is soon and you can go on your vacation without worry.

The wedding pictures are beautiful. It looks like they had a lovely day and a good time. Congratulations to them!

The wedding looks beautiful. How about a pet-sitter? Either Emma goes the their house or they come to yours and spend a bunch of time with her. Poor Emma, and Kristi and DH.

Poor Emma! It’s lousy to come home from what looks like a fabulous event to bad news. Maybe she just finds that setting in particular to be stressful and another would work better.

Cindy beat me to it. I was going to suggest having someone Emma trust pet-sit for you. I remember how anxious Emma was with new people, and I’m inclined to this that it was indeed stress if her blood panels came back clean. I really hope she’s ok and that you will be able to work out a way to travel with a relaxed mind on Emma’s health.

You look great in that photo Kristi!!!! That blue is a lovely color for you.

You look great - found the right top, I see.
I hope you can find the solution for Emma soon. Our Bridget has some of the same characteristics. We haven’t left her at a kennel yet coz she’s in a state at a known person’s house. Can only imagine how she would react in a kennel. I think she(Bridgy) needs to go to doggy daycare and maybe that will help if they also board. Something to think about for Emma.

Beautiful wedding pictures.

It is so stressful for us when our pets have problems when we are away. I agree with the others that perhaps having someone come stay at the house with Emma might help. Frequently vet techs are willing to house/dog sit to make a little extra money.
