Sunset - Liz
For this final spread in Gabe Cyr's Sunset themed art journal for the New Colors collab orative I combined a vintage photograph of a woman with one of my own photographs of a sunset from my backyard using Adobe Photoshop. Then I found the lovely verse by Robert Williams Buchanan from his poem "Liz" and it seemed a pefect fit. The iron transfers of the words and imagery were combined with fabrics, ribbons, buttons and thread in the colors of the sunset photography using decorative and plain machine stitches.
