Vacation/Retreat
I have not knit a lot lately. Partially the depression. Then then the meds helped that cloud lift a bit my wrist starting bothering. Now I leave on my trip back home for two weeks. The straw that broke the camel’s back was here with DH and then another one hit back home a couple days later. So, the vacation has turned more to an inner retreat.
I’ll be arting and writing in a journal I just bound for myself (clicky, clicky for a better look):

The goal is to explore the inner me. I also have some chronic pain related “homework” from my new therapist to work on. I plan on walks with mom and her Seeing Eye Dog and perhaps a little garding lessons from my grandma and to mostly relax. That is after the Dido concert on Friday night and Dad’s 50th b-day party on Sunday.
I’m taking a ball of Opal sock yarn and my Brittany DPNs and plan to do some knitting while I’m gone but will likely not be posting in the next two weeks. That will be my first pair of socks with real sock yarn instead of worsted weight, LOL! I expect sloooow progress. But the trip will also be yielding a bunch of knitting goodness from my grandmother who is giving me her needle and yarn stash but also what she has inherited from a friend of hers and my great grandmother! So, expect some fun knitty news when I return in a few weeks.
Lastly but certainly not least - thank you to those who have expressed concer/support over the last few weeks. It has been a lifesaver even if I haven’t gotten back to you individually!

I hope you have a wonderful time and that you are feeling better soon!

I hope you are doing better. It is not fun when you are restricted from knitting. I have carpal tunnel and it is not fun. I love your projects and I was wondering if you could tell me where to get the pattern for the “Sage Baby Set” (http://knitting.kurki15.com/index.php?s=&submit=search) Thankyou very much. Best wishes!!! _Liro

Hey girl! I don’t know how I missed your knitting blog before this — I’ve been reading these things like a madwoman.
I absolutely LOVE your strawberry hat and tank, and the new journal (which isn’t so new anymore) rocks, totally.
