Champagne Suds Citrus Delight Handmade Soap from Knitti-me!
This greeted me as a reward for braving the snowy roads to get to the PO yesterday. It’s been there for a while, but with all the holiday craziness I hadn’t gotten over to my PO box in a while. But, boy was it totally worth making the trek to Old Town in the snow! It’s sooo lovely and *very* strongly scented in citrus goodness. Thank you so much, Knitti-me!
Fiesta’s Heaven (Mohair) yarn
Sz 10 (US) needles
Fishtail Lace from 365 Knitting Stitches a Year Perpetual Calendar
It’s not satisfactory. I wanted to use larger needles for a more airy feel, but the beauty of the fishtail lace stitch pattern is totally lost.
Here’s a closer look…
Now, I know that mohair won’t produce a really detailed lace. But, I had my hopes and dreams, LOL!
At SnB on Monday night Amanda let me page through her copy of Weekend Knitting. While I liked the pattern of the shawl, I decided to give the stitch pattern from the fuzzy lace camisole (and cowl) a try. So, it’s to the frog pond (If I can carefully frog this mohair - we’ll have to see) and then time to give that stitch pattern a try. It has the nice airy look I was hoping for. So, hopefully the varigation of this yarn will look nice in it!
Wish me luck!

I’m so glad you got the gift. I believe there were also a pair of stitch markers in the package. Did they arrive OK? Best wishes for a fabulous 2005!
