Thursday are for Spinning!

8/4/2005

Well, at least for the month of August Thursdays are about spinning for me. I’m taking the Spinning II class at Shuttles, Spindles & Stabbity Sticks in Boulder on Thursday evenings.

I have to say that I’m a bit afraid of being kicked out tonight. I’m as nervous as I was for the first day of school every year, LOL! I’ve owned my spinning wheel for all of 6 weeks and I”m taking a level two spinning class??? Am I nuts?

The beginning class just would never work for me as it is 8 weeks long on Thursday nights and I can’t do the Boulder drive myself every week for eight weeks. I could probably swing it for four weeks (the duration of Spinning II) if I had just supermanned on a hard wood floor last week. But, fortunately I have great friends who are always offering to go out of their way to help me when things aren’t 100%. So, this evening I get to meet Amanda at a Starbucks in Loveland and then she’ll drive us to Boulder and back. Plus, it’ll be good to have regular access to someone else in the class to rehash topics and the like.

Hopefully my big box I sent from home will be on the door step when DH gets home tonight and then I’ll have access to all my wonderful fibery purchases!

I have a new WIP on the needles that very well could be a nearly FO by tomorrow for FO Friday ;-)

  2. Ah Kristi, anything worth doing is worth doing 100%. There is nothing wrong with challenging yourself in whatever pursuit you choose. If you think you are ready for Spinning II, then Woot! for you!!!

I hope you enjoy your SPinning II class. I’d love to hear about it!

Glad you’re back! You were missed! :)
