Two Thumbs Up Fingerless Mitt Pattern
No attention to detail is spared in this clever fingerless mitt pattern. The fingering weight pattern features a fun and flirty twisted edging that flows into a beautiful cable and lace rib. With carefully planned increases the thumb evolves in pattern from the body to form a comfortable gusset. Finishing is reduced by an inventive method to separate the thumb from the body with no holes or gaps to fill and then knitting them simultaneously. When the knitting is done just weave in a few ends, wash, block, and wear!
Requiring only about 200 yards, this project is great for splurging on single skeins of luxury or hand painted sock yarns. The tight gauge provides for a lower profile mitt so there is less interference in the tasks you undertake while wearing them. Instructions for some customizations are also included so you can make them to fit your style.
This six page pattern includes both charts and written directions as well as several full color photos.
