Prepared Silk Hankies

Spindling Silk

Stephanie, one of my great test knitters for the Two Thumbs Up pattern has posted photos and her comments on the pattern.

As usual, don’t forget to share your DK FOs with me so others can see your interpretations of the patterns. You can e-mail me photos (fiberfool AT gmail DOT com) or send me a link to your blog post. If you’re on Flickr you can also put your photos into the DK Knitting Pool.

If you’re looking for some ear candy to go with the eye candy, DH was busy last weekend while I was gone and did Album-a-Day. You can listen to his ~20 minute album on his web site. He’d love feedback and you don’t need to know anything about writing or recording music to leave a comment.

These colors are so beautiful together! I have been a slacker with spinning, but you are inspiring me.

[…] Perhaps you recall a little over a month ago a silk edition of Eye Candy Friday? Well, this is what it grew up to be (so far anyway). It is rough 135 yds of fine silk singles. I have no idea what I’ll do with it. I also don’t know how much it weighs as I still haven’t gottena new battery for my scale. But, really my scale is a postal scale and isn’t as accurate as I think this small amount of silk would require. It is probably roughly 1/3 of an ounce as the hankies it was spun from were part of a 1 oz sampler pack that included two other colors. Though I did spindle spin a few layers too. […]
