June Spectrum Sunday 1
Well, before I packed up the new camera to go back I played with a bit with a focus on Project Spectrum. This means three June desktop backgrounds to choose from - 2 yarn-centric and one spinning/felting-centric. To set as your desktop wallpaper just click on the one you want to use then click on the “all sizes” right above it, choose the largest size and then right click on the image and choose “Set as Wallpaper” or similar item.
I also have followed through on my spinning. I’ve spun up almost 2 oz of the bright blue superwash from Brown Sheep back in March. There is a total of 9 oz there and I’m spinning it to be a sock weight 2-ply. I spun for an hour or so on Friday evening and then several shorter times on Saturday. Today I’ve only predrafted fiber, but it means I can steal small amounts of time more easily tomorrow. Since the roving is in the project spectrum colors I give you two more photos that I took while playing with the new camera that gets shipped back tomorrow…
Both photos were taken in very low light. The color spot one was done with a color spot mode on the camera, though I did some (though I should have done a bit better job) further clean up in Photoshop, but it really cut down on the time it usually takes to do a spot color photos.
Also along the lines of spinning… It seemed when I posted about wanting to be sure to spin more regularly there were several of you who popped up and reported the same goal. I was wondering if anyone else wouldn’t like being held accountable a bit for thier goals and have some sort of summer spinning challenge (a more clever name is certainly needed), but we could each set our own personal goals and report in on how we’re doing. Anyone else game??
