Sharing the Joy!
Yesterday I had the joy of teaching two friends how to knit! What fun! I lent them needles and they brought their own yarn and they learned to cast on, knit, create stripes/change balls of yarn, knit 2 together (for those oops, I picked up the loop from the previous row and now I have an extra stitch) and Tam learned how to back up a stitch at a time and got to watch me pick up a dropped stitch. They arrived about 1:30pm and stayed until 6:30! I would have never expected them to stay so long. They browsed through my books and magazines a bit and couldn’t believe I was making a sock with such small yarn, LOL! I’m now on call if either of them have a mistake they can’t fix.
Speaking of a sock made of small yarn, my green Opal sock reached the toe decreases yesterday during this marathon knitting. I even tried it on and it is going to be a beauty!
Anyone have a magic trick for finding lost knitting supplies? I removed my Chibi needles from my knitting bag before my trip to MN because I didn’t want them to confiscated at the airport and I knew I wouldn’t need them and now I can’t find them. So, I still have the lemon on needles and the grey bucket hat on needles because I don’t know where my needle to close and weave in the ends is! I was just going to buy another set the other day, but wouldn’t you know, HobLob was sold out of them. Michael’s doesn’t carry them and I didn’t want to run all the way across town just for a set of Chibis. I’ll pick up a set tomorrow if I go to the knitting tea at Lambspun, but I’m a little worried I’ll finish my sock before Stitch ‘n Bitch is done tonight and then what will I do with so many projects on needles?!?!?!?!
Perhaps if I click my heels together while reciting, there is nothing like Chibi needles three times they’ll appear…

You have made some wonderful looking stuff, Should I buy
I’ll
you something to drink before I give you my sizes?
have to save this and when I have more time really look
at what you have done. So for Now take care Eric
