I realized that I haven’t given you much info about me. In the spirit of SP4, I thought I’d try share some more info that might be helpful in getting to know me a bit better. Feel free to asks questions if you wish!

1. I’m a mixed media artist.
2. I’m a book artist.
3. I’m a teacher.
4. I’m a wife (of nearly 2.5 years).
5. I’m a singer.
6. I’m a knitter. I suppose that is a bit of a duh item isn’t in? I’m sorry…
7. I’m a designer.
8. I’ve had my art or articles published many places in the last couple of years.
9. I used to be a meteorologist.
10. I nearly completed a master’s degree in atmospheric science until fate stepped in.
11. I am a big sister to one little sister.
12. I am a daughter.
13. I grew up in rural Minnesota on a dairy farm.
14. I have tutored advanced math.
15. I tutored for a GED program while I was in high school.

16. I attended collage while still in high school.
17. I graduated from high school with highest honors as number 13/360 students.
18. I was the first person on my mom’s side to graduate from college.
19. My natural hair color is a mousy brown.
20. I love autumnal colors.
21. I love jewel tones.
22. My favorite scents are pure citrus-based, especially lime or grapefruit.
23. I am also a pear freak - scents and tastes (like tea).
24. I’m a tea drinker.
25. I’m allergic to cats.
26. I love dogs.
27. My mom is completely blind and was legally blind since I was a toddler.
28. My first car was a 1982, Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale, 2-door in Rosewood. It was a BOAT, but all tricked out as it had been my grandparents.
29. I frequently have bouts of insomnia.
30. I’m addicted to television.
31. I adore girly movies, even the teen ones!
32. I enjoy classic films, especially the musicals.
33. I love music.
34. I play piano, sort of.
35. I play flute.
36. I play hand drums/percussion.
37. I was raised Lutheran, though do not actively participate in a church right now.
38. I love reading.
39. I have a penchant for pop-fiction mystery/suspense such as Patricia Cornwell or Tami Hoag etc.
40. I do 95% of my computing on my nearly 2 year old Sony Viao laptop.
41. Coming up with a 100 things about myself is much harder than I expected it to be.
42. Some of my best friends here in town I met through Stitch ‘n Bitch.
43. I founded the Fort Collins, CO Stitch ‘n Bitch last spring and showed up for three weeks all by myself until word began to spread.
44. My preferred graphics editing program is Photoshop, though I’m still on version 6.0.
46. I’m a sucker for almost anything purple.
47. I’ve had a penchant for using red in my art work recently.
48. I sleep on the right hand side of the bed.
49. When insomnia strikes I listen to books on CD from Audible.com that I burn for my mom each month.
50. I watch 7th Heaven and Everwood on The WB.
51. I loved Quantum Leap and Northern Exposure as a kid.
52. My little (by 5.5 years) sister punched me in the stomach when she was 6 and knocked me out.
53. I have a 30-lb mutt named Emma who is very sensitive.
54. Did I mention that I have art published in an actual book that is found in bookstores??
55. I grew up with a very close-knit extended family, most of whom I miss terribly.
56. I live in Fort Collins, CO.
57. I am nearly 29 years old.
58. I used to be a web designer for the US Forest Service and specialized in accessibility issues.
59. I enjoy classic jazz and a few contemporary jazz artists.
60. Some of my favorite chill-out artists are Eastmountainsouth, Mindy Smith, Over the Rhine, Shelleyan Orphan, October Project, and Cowboy Junkies.
61. I enjoyed bluegrass before O Brother, Where Art Thou? made it popular.
62. I’ve seen Alison Krauss and Union Station live in concert.
63. I’ve seen Diana Krall live in concert.
64. I went to see Dido in Minneapolis with my mom and my sister.
65. I like to use Origins GloomAway bath products.
66. I started my artful path with rubberstamping at the age of 12 or so and haven’t stopped since.
67. I have clinical depression.
68. I am obsessed with knitting socks.
69. I love seeing a nearly home-town local band, Tonic Sol-Fa in concert whenever I get back to MN.
70. I gambled for the first time this last summer. No, I didn’t win, and no, I did not understand the enjoyment of it!
71. I try to go to MN twice a year to visit family.
72. DH and I have season tickets to one of the local theater companies.
73. I watch the Anne of Green Gables movies at least once a year.
74. I enjoy family movies.
75. We have an embarrassing number of children’s movies in our collection for people who will not be having kids.
76. I cannot have kids.
77. I love dark chocolate.
78. I wish I could let loose more and explore my edgier side more often and deeper.
79. I’m anal retentive. Does that have a hyphen?
80. I love playing word games (Scrabble, Boggle, Quiddler etc.) even though I’m not very good at them.
81. I graduated from the University of North Dakota.
82. I moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University.
83. I enjoy going to the flea markets.
84. I’ve lived with chronic pain since January of 2000.
85. I’m running even lower on things about myself.
86. My favorite radio station is KBCO 97.3 FM.
87. My best friend from college lives in Florida.
88. My other best friend from college lives in Alaska.
89. I have not gotten to travel much.
90. I am a small business owner.
91. My art studio is a disaster area with less than 12 sq inches of clear horizontal space on which to create.
92. I love my in-laws (well, mostly, anyway).
93. My favorite Internet radio station is LaunchCast’s Adult Alternative channel.
94. I love books of all kinds on all subjects.
95. I enjoy photography.
96. I lust after a digital SLR camera.
97. We own way, way, way toooo many movies.
98. I still enjoy coloring in coloring books. I find it relaxing and stress-reducing.
99. I’m 5 ft 5 in tall.
100. I’m primarily Swedish and German in heritage.
