Happy St. Patty’s Day!

3/17/2005

It’s green day, today! Yeah!

I like green a lot. When asked what my favorite color is I often say purple, but green is right up there. Sage was the color for our wedding. When spring starts knocking I’m especially drawn to green. I think it is because I grew up in a pretty green part of the country and here it is green about a total of two months out of the year and then brown the rest so I try to surround myself with green in other ways.

I went going through my FO pictures for green things, but it seems I’ve only knit green socks and all the rest of the green is in my stash still. Case in point…

Sage Baby Set made last spring as a gift…

My Opal socks from last summer…

My Dad’s Christmas socks…

Knitting journal and clapotis
My knitting journal and I guess Clapotis is going to have a fair bit of green to her…

Casce Sierra for my first sweater design project.
The yarn for my first sweater design project…

There is more green yarn in my stash. Then of course there is all that green fabric I purchased this week and the art purse is primarily green. Hmmm…

Now, presumably there is enough green clothing in my closet to wear it both today and Saturday for our St. Patrick’s Day/Equinox/Spring party we are to attend… But, which day do I wear my awesome Opal socks???

  1. Sage and lavendar are my favorite colors, too. When we had our previous house painted to get it ready to sell, the outside was sage with a cream trim, and now, my guest bathroom is sage and lavendar and I have a Monet print in my entranceway with those colors, and I usually tuck lavendar flowers into my fake tree that’s in the entryway, too.
