Go Away Bots!
I am so sick of these comment spamming bots I could spit tacks! It has been steadily increasing over the past couple of months. I suppose because my visibility and links to me have been increasing. I’m now getting over 80 comments EVERYDAY!
I already have all comments moderated so no one ever sees them but me. But, it takes a good 5 minutes or so to delete that many comments everyday.
So, I’ m going to follow the lead of some other fellow knit bloggers and close comments on posts that are over a week old. It’ll take me a few days or a week or so to get all the back post comments shut down. But once I catch up I suspect it’ll take me roughly 2 minutes each day to shut down the comments on a post or two, which saves me three minutes a day.
