I Have a Sock!

5/11/2004

I’ll save the bandwidth and you can imagine yesterday’s pic with a full instep and toe. Cause, well, I know we all know what socks look like and then I won’t feel so wierd sharing a pic of the pair when the second one is done, LOL! I’ll also save comment on the fit etc. until I’ve washed the pair of them…

About the end of last week or so I added a new button to the right under Knit Alongs. It isn’t exactly a KAL per se, but I thouht I’d tell you a bit more about it in case it is new to you…

Art By The Inch
Art by the Inch is a project to kick you in the rear and get you moving on creative endeavors. The idea is to create 10,000 square inches of art/craft in a month. Participating arts include everything from book arts to scrapbooking and include knitting, fiber arts and anything else that is creative. Now, 10,000 square inches may seem a like a lot depending upon your family and life schedule. If it is too much you can choose your own number of square inches. It begins May 15th and runs through June 15th. Click on the button here or on the right to sign-up and/or learn more.

I signed up for only 5,000 inches as I’ll be traveling for the second half of the challenge period and will have to accumulate any inches from June 3rd and on from knitting primarily and if I keep going on with the idea of only knitting socks on my trip, well, there are many, many stitches and rows to a square inch, LOL!

In other KALs, I’m really, really, really tempted by Iko’s Salt Peanuts KAL. I decided a couple weeks ago that pattern was definitely in my wish list of projects. I told DH about it last night and he said, “Wait, you haven’t finished the last KAL yet!” And, he doesn’t know about the Zoo Along that I haven’t done anything work on either, LOL! But, since Salt Peanuts is an ongoing KAL I may have to join once I wrap up the Shapely Tank!
