Bright Side…

11/12/2005

Even though I’m home alone yet again, I’m trying to look at the bright side…

- Oversized Sock Monkey Flannel PJs
- Homemade carmels cooling in the kitchen (from my aunts recipe so famous she isn’t allowed into any house during the holiday season without a tin of them in hand)
- Finished spinning the singles of some lovely alpaca/merino/silk fiber that is gorgeous! I want to ply it right away, but I know I’ll be happier if I let the second bobbin sit… *sigh*

I’m debating whether I want to brave the high winds and CSU football game day traffic to see if I can locate a second-hand slow cooker (or just another crock that will fit our current one would be even better). It is seriously windy which isn’t good for my allergies and then on game day they reroute traffice right past our street making it literally a 20 minute affair just to get 1/2 mile to the nearest main drag street. However, I’ve got cabin fever and am getting incredibly bored with myself. I’m just antsy and wanting to get out of the house. Even when DH is here he’s too busy with the novel writing that he could just as well not be here. He’s set himself a ridiculous goal of 12,000 words this weekend! *sigh* Next year, I think I’ll spend the entire month of November in MN with my family!

My mom and grandmother always said only boring people get bored. It’s not that I don’t have things I could be doing. I could work on another one of those tote bags, or my mittens, or spin some more singles so I have a ton of plying to do tomorrow, or wash up the caramel making pot and go another round with the stove and make the sesame toffee. Although many of those things are a little rough on my body for where I’m at pain level-wise at the moment.

There are some movies I’d like to see but most of them DH wants to see as well which means I’ve been forbidden to watch them without him… Anyone have any good girly movies to recommend I go rent to get me through the rest of this weekend month? I’m totally open to movie suggestions!
