Knitting Accessory Essentials?

11/8/2005

What are your “must have” tools to take with you when knitting away from home? What do you keep them in? Do you have multiples of these kits living in different bags? Inquiring minds would like to know! :-)

For me, I have one tool kit in a clear vinyl make-up bag. It usually contains the following…

- Needle Sizer/Ruler
- Measuring Tape
- Chibi Needle Case with four needles in it
- Small Fiskars Scissors
- Small ball of left over sock yarn (for impromtu stitch markers or stitch holders etc.)
- 2 Small-ish stitch holders
- Stitch Markers
- Usually a couple sets of DPNs in various “sock sizes”
- Small Crochet Hook
- A pack of GUM Dental Floss Threaders (great for stringing beads or weaving in too short ends)
- Emory Board (for nails and needles)

How about you?? Either answer in the comments or post to your own blog and leave a comment letting me know to check it out!
